The Coming Whirl Wind!

Richard, your citing the concept of authority at the top of your list of drivers of power is fascinating. Authority is no longer a popular concept in our society. We can see the results in the deterioration of human behavior around us, sadly. For instance, here in Madison, Wisconsin a man was in a motel room with a shot gun and other weapons. The motel staff were hiding on the floor in their office. The police came. The told the man to come out. The man did not come out. They waited. In time, he came out with guns blazing. They shot him, but they did not kill him. Now there is a trial taking place in which the police are under attack for defending themselves! This is how degenerate our society has become. The police at one time had the authority to command you to come out with your hands up; if you did not, if you got killed, injured it was your, not their fault. If we keep undermining authority in such ways, we are going to "sow the wind and reap the whirl wind."
