Lisa, yes, yes, yes, you "hit the nail on the head" good and hard here. The work ethic that built this country is dying. However, as the economy continues to tank - forget the fake propaganda in the media about recoveries - employers will be able to be very very selective; those who have jobs, what's left of the middle classes, more and more will resist paying for the "slackers" in terms of welfare programs and the like. We are going to have a reality check. Meanwhile, it is hard to suffer through the farce, waste you describe. I bet this does not happen in India, China, Germany, etc.
