Jason, you "hit the nail on the head" here good and hard! A huge career opportunity exists for persons who want to become expert leaders of internships at the high school level, not just in higher education. As the economy continues to falter, more and more, people are going to be desperate for cost-effective ways to ground learners in reality at low cost. Enter internships. A friend of mine in Canada, where he worked for the community college system most of his career, this week reminded your humble servant here of the need for learning to be as "contextual" as possible.
