Future Studies = Facts + Imagination

Gwen, again, you write well. However, you are not following the directions. You describe a static present. You do not investigate trend forecasting techniques or trend forecasts - what is coming, not what is. This is typical for students who start this course. They have backgrounds in the social sciences, and sciences deal with what is, what we can measure. However, trend forecasting deals with the probabilities and possibilities of what could be based on facts about trends see about us. You need to to make a "mind shift" in this course from what is to what could, might be based on what we know now. You need to become an "imagineer," not just a good scientist.
