Wendy, as a rule, in strategic planning, five years has been the cap. Now, strategic planners favor only six months. This is because things change more quickly today. In other words, trend forecasting for planning is an ongoing process. The challenge is to create ongoing trend forecasting processes to provide fresh feedback for ourselves and our organizations, groups.
