Temp Trend

Shaun, what is causing the trend toward  Free Agent Nation (a study by Daniel Pink) is relentless change.  Things keep changing at ever-faster rates of speed; the result is people are coming and going at ever-faster rates of turnover.  The demise of teamwork is a result.  I offered to do a workshop on it; the WFS turned it down, at least for 2013's Chicago conference.  Yet, at the World Future Society Conference 2013 in Chicago were two tables, vendors of career services!   I visited at length with both.  These career coaches see what we see, relentless change in the workplace is making a turbulence that is forcing people to constantly be prepping to move, move, move, move.  The presence of career consultants, advisors at a conference about future trends is certainly documentation of how powerful the trend toward "temp jobs" regardless of field the emerging trend for all of us.
