In particular, your choice of visual culture hit "home" for your humble servant.  Here is why.  He is an avid reader of economist David McWilliams, Dublin, Ireland online.  Today, he announced his own online courses on economics!  What really caught the attention of this writer is his courses require no reading!   They are totally visual.  First, there are videos of him giving lectures, talks, explanations, etc.  Second, he has blended graphics into these teaching videos to enhance their "punch," effectiveness!  The courses also contain self-tests to help students check on their mastery of subject matter.  However, he does not offer college credit.  Yes, he is totally on trend with his full-force use of visual presentation to replace print!
