Future Studies for All!

Future Studies for All!
Welcome.  Everything, everybody has a future.  Business has a professional future.  Education has a professional future.  Funeral homes have a professional future.  Each one of us, moreover, has a personal future. Our course is a generic toolbox on how to assess possible, probable, and plausible future trends, developments, and then position ourselves to deal with them - through "fight" (seize opportunities) or "flight" (get out of the way and avoid being blindsided by bad surprises).  For example, Thomas Frey, a Futurist, with whom I have studied, argues the future of higher education is in two trends:  one toward apprenticeships and one toward entrepreneurship.  He opines higher education will lose 10% of its enrollment yearly now.  Where does this leave a college in five years?  What should we do then if we are making our living in higher education to be alert to and ready for this trend both professionally and personally?  This is the kind of content our course covers and provides time-tested, field-tested techniques and concepts for rationally dealing with such possible, probable, and plausible future turns of events.  Welcome!   Dr. Rux
