Future Studies Institute and Organizational Readiness

Exactly!  Organizational readiness must exist before pursuing change.  Your humble servant underscored this in a business plan that he did as a consultant for a tech college in Wisconsin last year.  The proposal was the feasibility of creating a Future Studies Institute.  Your humble servant discovered during his field research that at the top of any business plan would have to be creating organizational readiness to pursue such a venture.  For example, first faculty and staff would need training in what constitute Future Studies.  Moreover, as you point out, it is very hard for an outsider, volunteer in your case, consultant in my case, to create such readiness.  It must come from top management with the ultimate power to enforce agendas.  Top management feared internal conflict; the project died.  Yes, your humble servant here can relate to your situation:  lack of readiness and outsider status.  Good job!  Forward!   Dr. Rux
