The Future of Thinking

Bingo, bravo, Mark! This "hits the nail on the head" for meeting the requirements of this assignment! Great job! Hopefully all members of our course will read this, for all members are involved with education and its future - as teachers or employers! What intrigues this writer is the negative impacts of social media and other technologies on the ability of persons in the future to think clearly, rationally, logically. Check out the book The Dumbest Generation by Mark Bauerlein for an analysis of how modern media threaten to destroy the thinking skills that we need to read well, which have been the foundation of rational decision making. Now, new technologies may replace the book - and maybe not for the better.
