Teacherless Learning
Shaun, again, we need other "sets of eye balls" to do a professional
reality check on what you have done to date.  You could start with
submitting what you have to SmarThinking.com.  You pay for it in your
tuition.  You need not to accept its feedback as definitive; it might
provide some fresh insight, perspective.  I suggest you start here.
Above all, you are positioning yourself to be on trend, big time.  The
challenge will be - as always - budget to change the systems.  We are
moving toward "teacherless" learning.  As Peter F. Drucker put it,
"Teaching is what we do to people.  Learning is what we do for
ourselves.   Educational technology emphasizes, focuses on learning, not
teaching."  He saw it clearly.   He died in 2005.  He also predicted
that the drop in costs of learning technologies will enable poor
countries to train workforces quickly ("overnight") to the surprise of
this country and others in our Western league.  In short, as we move
from bricks and mortar to clicks, we can drop the costs of buildings -
and yes, reduce teaching, teacher costs too in the process.  The
pedagogy, andragogy (adult learning theory) for this paradigm shift is
waiting.  You are going to carve out a fantastic career future here if
you "play your cards right."  I am excited to play a small part as your
professor in this exciting future for you.  Lead it!   Happy 2013!  Dr.
Rux
