Librarians - Model for Future Educators

Yes, the model of educator as facilitator appeals to your humble servant here, for he has worked as a professional librarian in education. I earned my M.A.L.S. in Library & Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. The librarian, academic, special, or public, serves the needs of the client looking for information. The librarian does not impose the information. The librarian assists the client, student to locate the information that meets the needs of the learner. In fact, I plan to publish on how the library model of service is in fact more and more becoming the model for learning in the Information Age. We assist, not dictate. Of course, this does not mean we abandon standards. It means we let learners work toward them as needed.
