Futuring Requires Continuous Learning and Unlearning

Terra, Socrates taught our first order of business must be, ought to be "Know thyself."  We need to know our strengths and weaknesses as a guide to what and what not to undertake.  Such self-knowledge also provides a blueprint for our own professional development.  Professionals like us never stop learning - and unlearning.  Yes, often we must unlearn old "truisms" that no longer account for the facts in front of us and therefore cannot serve as valid, reliable guides for action.  Yes, learning and unlearning go "hand in hand" as we pursue continuous professional improvement of ourselves and others.  Keep up your good work!  Dr. Rux
