History and Futuring: Imagineering!

Nick, history and futuring share this.  Both require imagination.  The past is over, not here; the future is to come, not here.  The futuring and historical processes both require imagination, we imagine the past and future on the basis of evidence about the past and about future possibilities, probabilities, and plausibilities.  This is why your humble servant refers to himself as an Imagineer, which he is, for he imagines both past and future on the basis of facts, e.g. historical records, and reliable information about developments today, e.g. robotics.  Dr. Rux
