See Future as a Puzzle

Diona, this is excellent.  Clearly, you have gained lots of practical value from Naisbitt and his mind set approach to trend forecasting.  Perceiving the future as a "puzzle" encourages us to remain alert to multiple variables and stakeholders that can, may impact the future.  In other words, do not focus on just one trend today and construct your forecasts on it.  Pay attention to the variety of trends that can converge to shape the future in multiple ways, scenarios, forecasts.  In other words, do not seek to impose a "one-size-fits-all" logic on future forecasts.  For example, social media exist; they are shaping the future.  However, other forces, trends are at work.  Because of government-caused inflation, prices are slowly, surely rising.  How will cost of living impact our future too?  How does cost of living impact use of social media?  You get the idea.  Good job!  Dr. Rux
